(Tucson, Ariz.) -- Barrel racers completed their first round this morning and steer wrestlers and ropers began round two. All timed events will complete the second round of competition on Saturday, Feb. 28. The 12 best aggregate times will advance to the finals on Sunday, March 1.

Wednesday’s schedule includes barrel racing slack beginning at 8 a.m. and a Gold Card Team Roping event for Professional Rodeo Cowboys Association (PRCA) members 50-years and older.

One hundred teams will compete in this progressive roping event where the winning team is awarded almost $40,000 in prize money. The event is not a sanctioned PRCA event. A portion of the proceeds benefit the Justin Cowboy Crisis Fund.
